CONGRATULATIONS MR KEVIN CAMBOURN
O’Neill’s Truck & Trailer Repairs salute Kevin Cambourn on his stellar career & incredible service record.
Kevin retires on 25th August (his 63rd Birthday) after an amazing 46 years and 8 months loyal service to O’Neill’s where he started on 5th January 1970.
Kevin completed his apprenticeship under Wilton O’Neill & was there when the Sandgate premises was built - a place where he has spent his entire working life!
He served as a mechanic, went on to become the mechanical and fabrication foreman (covering both positions at the same time) was then promoted to Workshop Foreman and later Workshop Manager.
Kevin has been part of the senior management team at O’Neill’s for the last 16 years.
During his time at O’Neill’s Kevin has proven to be not only a highly skilled Tradesman, but also an effective leader & someone who has earned the respect of Transport Operators, Truck Dealerships, Suppliers & of course his fellow workmates.
He will be missed for not only his dedication & repair knowledge, but also his great sense of humour and sharp wit!
Outside of work Kevin is a dedicated family man who loves camping & caravanning, and he and his wife Gay have a new caravan on the way & will no doubt make good use of it exploring Australia - but not too far from their sons & grandchildren!
Congratulations Kevin and well done on a great career and a fantastic record of dedication & loyalty.
We recognise you and one of the senior staff that has been a part of taking O’Neill’s to the next level.
Thanks for your service Kevin.

LONG SERVICE MILESTONES FOR O'NEILL'S
January 2015 marked some significant Milestones for senior management at O’Neill’s.
Kevin Cambourn has now achieved an amazing 45 years of loyal service !
Kevin started in 1971 and was at Sandgate when Wilton O’Neill built the premises. He has served as mechanic, mechanical and fabrication foreman, workshop foreman & now workshop manager. His experience, expertise and industry knowledge are second to none.
Chris Johanson has served for the last 33 years (and apart from a 6 month stint away, has 38 years in total) Chris has served as panel beater, panel beating foreman, and now workshop manager
Ken Wattus achieved 34 years at O’Neill’s during which he has gone from panel beating foreman to parts manager and now accounts manager
Adam Roddam achieved 25 years - and was recently promoted from Workshop Foreman to Estimator.
In a testament to the service record and experience of the senior management at O’Neill’s, that the six most senior managers in the company have, between them, an incredible 187 years experience !
O’Neill’s are very proud of these records, and it is this level of experience and expertise that plays a big part in delivering the right service to our customers. It also makes O’Neill’s a great training ground & shows that there is a pathway for younger staff - with five of those top six managers having done their apprenticeships at O’Neill’s.
There is no other repairer in Australia that can boast nearly 200 years of company experience in the senior management team and O’Neill’s feel this record not only says a lot about the attitude and loyalty of these industry experts, but also says a lot about the company.
All going well these six staff will hit 199 year’s service between them in only two years! and will push through the 200 year mark in January 2018.
